Heather is deeply empathetic and loving but not someone that allows herself to be pushed around by other people, especially not her son. She is fighting to wake up her husband Mark, Hunter’s father, who is also very loving but clueless as to the reality of Hunter’s drug addiction. Heather finds that some of her jewelry is missing and suspects that Hunter took it and pawned it for drugs. She confronts him which results in an explosive argument between her, Hunter and Mark. MARK 52-60 / Male / Caucasian Hunter’s father. Mark loves his family so much that he’s completely blind to the reality that his son is a drug addict. Mark acts as a referee in a cage fight when Heather confronts Hunter about her missing jewelry in a misguided attempt to keep the peace and hold his family together. JACK 22-27 / Male / All Ethnicities Hunter’s best friend for life, they’re like brothers. Ride together, die together. Jack is bright and loveable but fucked up on drugs, just like Hunter. Hunter convinces Jack to help him rob Sneaky Pete to retrieve his mother’s jewelry that he’d traded with him for drugs. When they execute the robbery, they end up stumbling on a lot more than the jewelry; they find his entire inventory of drugs and profit money. They take everything not realizing that the money and product actually belongs to RL. RL 30-40 / Male / African-American/African A higher-up drug dealer in the streets of Baltimore. He sells crack, heroin and extasy and is well-respected amongst addicts and other dealers. RL is seasoned and intelligent, he’s an experienced leader of the underworld. His reputation amongst street dwellers is mixed with love and fear. They love him because he’s always on deck, but they fear him because the penalty for crossing him is death. RL serves Hunter drugs and sells him a gun which is later used to rob Sneaky Pete. Sneaky Pete is under the payroll and jurisdiction of RL, the drugs and profit money stolen belong to RL. G Man and RL interrogate and eventually kill Johnny (Sneaky Pete’s nephew) after he tells them where Hunter lives. G man shows up at Hunter’s mom’s house looking for Hunter to kill him and take the drugs back. GMAN 30-40 / Male / All Ethnicities RL’s gunman. G Man does the grunt work so that RL can keep his hands clean. G man is a weathered criminal, who seemingly has no conscience. Probably a psychopath. When Hunter and Jack rob Sneaky Pete, they unknowingly steal a large quantity of cocaine, heroin and extasy pills that belong to RL. G Man and RL interrogate and kill Johnny after he tells them where Hunter lives. G Man shows up at Hunter’s mom’s house looking for Hunter to kill him and take the drugs back. JOHNNY 25-35 / Male / All Ethnicities Johnny is an old acquaintance of Hunter and Jack’s. Johnny is a typical Baltimore junky kid, in way too deep. Walked a similar path to them in his decent to the underworld of addiction, however Johnny has a family tie (his drug dealer uncle Sneaky Pete) who makes him accoutnable by proxy for the drugs that Hunter and Jack steal. He quite literally gets dragged into RL’s search for the drugs - they beat him, interrogate him and eventually kill him after he discloses Hunter’s address. SNEAKY PETE 30-40 / Male / All Ethnicities Loudly gay drug dealer. Extremely flamboyant, sissy type who’s somehow managed to scratch and claw his way up the ranks of Baltimore’s drug circuit. He sells drugs for RL. Hunter and Jack break into Sneaky Pete’s house, tie him up and steal all of his inventory. Sneaky Pete is then left to answer to RL |
