BIOGRAPHY:
Steve has a smart, powerful, underdog type whose quirky edge with a smile that you never know what is going on underneath has served him well in the roles he’s played and in life. Of course underneath there is a great sense of ironic humor, kindness and passion. From the first time he turned on the TV as a little kid and wanted to get inside, he has been an actor. As he left the movie theater in character after watching Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid his passion only grew. The iconic scene from The Graduate where the red sports car speeds up Pacific Coast Highway in the bright sunlight by the blue ocean to Simon and Garfunkle’s Scarborough Fair ignited Steve’s dream of acting in LA. On his way he stopped in Oklahoma City for a few years to attend college and major in acting. Finally he was ready for LA. Idealism is a wonderful thing....

Cut to a few years later...after multiple theater openings/closings at the Colony Theater and others in LA, Steve made his way to the bright lights of New York to continue training. But alas, idealism cannot pay bills or provide love and warmth… Steve decided to take a break from it all.

Once more LA called. But this time, he took a hiatus to live life and find a family and something he never had before…money. It came to be that Steve got married had a great kid, made money at Warner Bros. as a project manager and lived...not so happily ever after. Some years passed and Steve and his family moved back to Washington DC. A funny thing happened along the way of being a husband and coaching little league and youth football...life wasn't so swell and something was missing.

For the next several years he showed his range and abilities on Washington area stages appearing in comedies like Sly Fox, Driving Miss Daisy, The Marriage of Bette and Boo, Importance of Being Earnest and dramas including The Diary of Anne Frank as Otto, Hatful of Rain, BUG, and Best Man. During this time Steve also appeared as a lead in several award winning Baltimore Playwrights Festival world premiere plays. Also, during this time Steve found his way to the film world once again; acting in industrial and independent films, and various commercials including a couple of Mattress Warehouse spots that showed for many years.

Steve’s life journey has taken him into a wonderful second marriage and transition to living in New York fulltime. Steve is a proud member of The Actors Green Room Elevate and has produced and acted in several short films including Waiting for Lichtenstein, which was screened at AGR and will be hitting the festival tour. He can be seen in the festival award winning short Sure-Fire. It has garnished much attention all over the country. Steve also is a co-lead in an upcoming web series King Sun.

Steve has been studying Alexander Technique and movement with Jean Louis Rodrigue and Kristof Konrad, on-camera scene study with Anthony Robert Grasso, and studied with Deena Levy. All of his training is occurring in New York. His growth is in a constant forward motion.

Steve is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA.

He continues on his life’s journey in pursuit of his purpose that the little kid who sat in front of the TV and wanted to get inside identified years ago! As Butch and Sundance said as they jumped off the cliff into the water “woooo”. To see how the rest of this story turns out well... you just have to stay tuned.
